Xemei is the restaurant of two Venetian twins (hence the name) who bring us closer to the authentic gastronomy of their beloved city. The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet residential area, between Poble Sec and Montjuïc.
The bohemian styled restaurant has large windows overlooking the street, but we prefer the wonderful terrace. The pappardelle con ragú de ossobuco is addictive and so is pata de pulpo a la plancha. Many guests come back here often and befriend the owners, which creates a friendly and familiar atmosphere.
You can only book by phone, but the restaurant is always full anyway. Nice to know: the successful twins also opened the organic wine bar Brutal ten years ago, which is also definitely worth checking out.
