Tippling Club

Progressive, award-winning tastes

Tippling Club has held its prominent spot on the London food map for quite some time now; British-born Chef and Owner Ryan Clift has amassed numerous awards with his progressive food beloved on this discerning scene. Without a doubt, a shimmer of home-grown hope for the (often unfortunately) beleaguered British food scene.

Back in 2008, Clift opened his first location in the heart of the quiet suburban Demspey Hill neighbourhood. After enjoying five successful years, it was time to pack up and move to its current home closer to the city centre. This new spot housed over three former spaces has been beautifully refurbished in the same industrial-chic style. A big plus is that the bar and dining area are separately designated, allowing for quite the change of scenery and one less reason to seek anywhere else out after enjoying a great drink or memorable meal together.

Clift’s progressive style is perfectly translated in both the Classic and Gourmand tasting menus; the dishes are stunningly beautiful, delicious and inventive. Our absolute favourite was the surf and turf: lobster wrapped in jambon iberico and pork belly with leek and fennel. Go for the wine pairing menu but make sure you try some of their cocktails designed by award-winning Head Bar Tender Zachery de Git.
