Temple and Sons

Grilled meats and cocktails in cans—— what?

Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton is back with another hit in London, though Temple and Sons is different from Atherton’s other pursuits, as it’s set over two floors with varying purposes. The bottom floor is a traditional British grocery store with wood panels, brass and vintage lamps, selling delights like fancy tinned food, cured meats and their own lager The Subtle Fox. In the evening, this floor turns into a cocktail bar serving uniquely-presented creations in tin cans and cartons.

The upper floor is completely focused on their custom wood-fired grill, boosted by smokey hay and charcoal. The menu includes dishes perfect for sharing like grilled pork chops, collar and crackling with a sage and pine nut crumb and their grilled Newlyn line-caught turbot. This blurring concept by Atherthon has only just arrived on the local scene, but will surely take London by storm!
