Street food without the Street

Long Chim translates to ‘come and taste’; celebrity chef David Thompson invites you to experience with all senses. Already well-known for his award winning restaurant Nahm in Bangkok, Long Chim strips off all the pretentious stuff and focuses strictly on serving extremely high quality Thai street food. The dining room is rather large and has a great view on the open kitchen. We were pleased to see that the famous Thompson was calling the shots himself and we even caught him stirring some pans.

Thompson capitalizes on this one pretty simple formula: those loud, bright flavours plucked right from Thai streets though presented in new, thoughtful ways. The pork skewers might very well be the best you ever had and will have; fired over coals and distinct with a fiery sauce. It’s the experimental chaos of flavours right from the streets, but destined for those appreciating the creature comforts of a cozy restaurant as opposed to chowing down curb-side.
