Vietnamese brasserie
Boa La moved to Hong Kong as a chef with a lot of ambition, he first found mentorship at restaurant Ho Lee Fook under Chef Jowett Yu. As the Sous-Chef he played part in making Ho Lee Fook one of the most popular restaurants in Hong Kong, nevertheless he soon felt it was time to spread his wings and take flight on his own venture. Under the flag of Black Sheep Restaurants he opened his first solo spot, Le Garcon Saigon, a Vietnamese brasserie; a mother-and-son success story.
Serious Vietnam flavours and roll-your-own fun at this French colonial styled space decorated with tasteful ceiling fans and wicker chairs. Le Garcon serves the best skewers accompanied by rice paper rolls, fresh herbs, pickles, vermicelli and dipping sauces. The banh xeo is chorizo, bean sprouts and prawns to be wrapped in lettuce and dipped in nuoc mam fish sauce. Desserts are inventive and delicious, make sure to guard them from your fellow diners, because with a fleeting glance, they’ll disappear!
