Paris has an abundance of designer galleries, exclusive clothes boutiques and bistros serving authentic cuisine, but all of that under one roof? Merci does just that and as such, styles itself a very welcomed exception in Paris. Bernard and Marie Cohen started with the concept back in 2009 and over the years they developed Merci into a store for the best of fashion, design, household commodities, lighting and of course food. The three floors of a former wallpaper factory also host about 15 ‘exhibitions’ throughout the year based on themes related to the collection.

Strictly food-speaking, La Cantine is the restaurant located in the basement with a nice view to the outside garden. The best way to experience their creative take on healthy food is to take the Merci Assiette. The Assiette includes the plat du jour and your choice of two salads. If you’re geared up for an afternoon of boutique shopping and a healthy lunch, Merci is the place to see and be seen.
