Dames and Bootleg booze

Janes + Hooch has everything we look for in an exciting restaurant. Warren Pang and Milan Sekulic opened shop in the heart of Sanlitun’s factory district of Beijing. Their goal was to create a nightlife experience in a vintage dive bar that brings back the best of the good ol’ days mixed with modern urban culture. The design features exposed brick, wood paneled walls, polished cement floors and rustic brass ceilings. The flickering candlelight creates the perfect atmosphere for a night out.

Janes + Hooch refers to an inside joke referring to the two loves in the live of the owners; Janes (dames) and Hooch (bootleg booze). The menu is pretty straightforward and driven by quality. On offer are creative twists on modern Asian dishes created with local and seasonal ingredients. The menu changes on monthly basis and caters both the casual drinker and cocktail geek. This restaurant brings back the fun in drinking!
