The bar without a name

28 Hong Kong Street was a shophouse until 2011. During that year Joe Alessandroni very quietly opened a bar without a name and without any marketing plans whatsoever (including social media). The bar keeps a shroud of secrecy, but those efforts (or lack of them) have nevertheless resulted in quite some media coverage and widely spread popularity. During the beginning of this year they even went got the top spot in the Asia´s 50 Best Bars Awards.

Alessandroni created a well balanced blend between urban swag and American-style mixology, hip hop tunes creating a laid back atmosphere and cocktails named after the artists of those tunes. Finger food is prepared by Kathleen Wong and she does that with the excellence we expect in an award winning bar.
